What the free three days give you
Three days, no card, up to 5 AI explanations a day. Enough to find out whether the diagnostic is right about your child — everything else is a detail you can decide later.
The diagnostic, in full
Fifteen minutes of adaptive questions and the topic list they produce, including the gaps from previous years. This is the part worth judging the platform on.
Practice and marking, unlimited
Every exercise in the catalogue for your child’s grade, checked answer by answer, with the review queue filling itself from the mistakes.
The AI tutor
For three days the AI explanations are on, up to 5 a day. After that, on the free tier, practice and marking keep working and the AI explanations stop — that is the line between free and paid, and it is the only one.
Compared with an hour a week
A tutor is not the competition — most families we hear from use both. But if you are weighing one against the other, weigh what each is for rather than the hourly rate.
An hour is diagnosis plus teaching
A tutor spends part of every paid hour finding out where the pupil is. Brainschool arrives at that answer from the practice itself, which is why tutors who use it start the lesson already knowing the topic.
The other six days are where practice lives
One lesson a week is one lesson a week. The forgetting curve does not pause between them — the review queue is what works those days.
Marking is not teaching
Checking thirty exercises is the part a machine does better and faster, and it is the part a parent is currently paying a person to do.
What “30 AI explanations a day” means
An explanation is one request where the AI tutor takes a step apart for your child — not a page view and not an exercise. Practice, marking, exam papers, the review queue and progress are never rationed on any paid plan; only the AI’s own answers are. Thirty is roughly a full evening of getting stuck and asking, which is why Starter suits most families and Pro exists for the ones preparing for an exam.
Billing, plainly
Can I cancel?
At any time, from the account. The subscription runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and then stops — there is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
What happens to the progress if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. The account drops to the free tier: the topic list, the history and the practice stay, the AI explanations stop. If you come back, the plan picks up where the child left off rather than starting from a fresh diagnostic.
I have two children. Two subscriptions?
No. A parent’s subscription covers the children linked to that parent account, each with their own progress, their own plan and their own dashboard. You link a child with the code their account generates.
Do you take a card during the trial?
No. The three days run without one, and they end by simply ending — nothing is charged unless you choose a plan afterwards.
Tutors, schools and education centres
Priced per student seat rather than per family, with a teacher dashboard, classrooms, homework and a lead’s view over the whole centre. What that looks like in a working week is written out on its own page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a free trial, and what does a subscription cost?
Three days without a card, with up to 5 AI explanations a day. After that it is a subscription: a family plan paid monthly or cheaper annually, per-seat terms for tutors, schools and education centres, and a free tier that keeps practice and marking but stops the AI explanations. Current plans and prices are on the Pricing page, and a subscription can be cancelled at any time.
